Surprise! This short-nosed vine snake (Oxybelis brevirostris) puts on quite a display, but has a bite that you would hardly feel.
Some of my favorite subjects are Buchwald's Scaly-eyed Geckos (Lepidoblepharis buchwaldi). Tiny and cryptic, they are actually quite common in some habitats.
