Some of my favorite subjects are Buchwald's Scaly-eyed Geckos (Lepidoblepharis buchwaldi). Tiny and cryptic, they are actually quite common in some habitats.
Male and female Dickerson's collared lizards differ strikingly in coloration, and thus, the type of signals they give each other. The orange of the female indicates reproductive status, and the blue on the male signals awesomeness!
