The galleries in this site were created in part through the iMatch photo archiving program. Ferdinand's photo gallery preset was used as a starting template for the galleries. Thanks Ferdinand!
Documenting the Diversity of Life
All net proceeds from the sales on Biodiversity Photography go directly to our non-profit organization, Reptile Research. This organization is dedicated to understanding the diversity of reptiles and amphibians in the tropical forests of Ecuador. The region we work in has some of the greatest biodiversity in the world, while being under the greatest peril for species extinction.. We endeavor to learn as much as possible about this diversity while there still is the chance. Among other things, this understanding will assist us in setting conservation priorities: some tracts of land can still be saved, and we can use indices of biodiversity to choose which ones these will be.

Paul has spent the last 15 years studying the behavior and ecology of the reptiles and amphibians of the desert southwest, as well as the rain forests of Ecuador, Mexico and Australia.
Many of his scientific subjects have turned into photographic subjects as well. In addition to lizards, snakes, and frogs, Paul photographs birds, insects, mammals, and landscapes, which are all well represented in his portfolio. His photographs are featured in numerous textbooks and scientific articles.
